LHU’s Rhlyn Rouse named PSAC East Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week

LOCK HAVEN – Rhlyn Rouse of the Lock Haven women’s basketball team was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday (Nov. 19).

Rouse notched the second straight PSAC Athlete of the Week honor for the Bald Eagles after Madeline Evans earned the defensive award last week.

Rouse led the Bald Eagles to a pair of victories and finished with a double-double in each game.

Over the two wins, Rouse scored 37 points and brought in 25 rebounds.

In the win over Frostburg State, Rouse scored 23 points and hauled in 15 rebounds, while knocking down 11-of-14 shots at the line.

In the victory over Roberts Wesleyan, Rouse again recorded a double-double, this time scoring 14 points, while adding 10 rebounds.

The Bald Eagles improved to 3-1 overall last week and return to the court on Friday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. when they open PSAC East-West crossover play by visiting University of Pittsburg at Johnstown.
