Francis “Franny” D. Mazzulla – Obituary
Francis “Franny” D. Mazzulla, 67 of Renovo passed away July 1, 2019 at Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA. He had been a patient since June 9, 2019. He was born June 1, 1952 in Renovo Hospital. He was the son of the late Thomas (Sundy) and Connie (De Jesse) Mazzulla. He was of Catholic Faith.
Francis graduated from Bucktail Area High School in 1971. After graduation, he stayed in Renovo for awhile worked at Berwick. Franny was a hard worker, he had many jobs at many places throughout his life including Alloy & Stainless Fasteners, Smart Warehouse and BJ’s Wholesale.
He lived in various places including Philadelphia, Kissimmee, Florida and Phoenix, Arizona. He loved his family and he loved to travel. He always made an effort to be at major family events, even traveling far to do so. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make family and friends laugh.
Franny was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Connie, his brothers Francis “Smoky” and William “Billy” Mazzulla. Surviving are his siblings Rita Tomko of Renovo, Gene (Aida) Mazzulla of Schwenksville, Tom (Wanda) of North Bend and John (Linda) Mazzulla of Kane.
He had many nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces that enjoyed his company. He also had a friend Ron Kraus of Shamokin. A memorial mass will be held at St. Joseph’s church Saturday, July 13 at 1:00 p.m. Donations can be made to lung disease and heart.
