William W. Knepley – Obituary

William W. Knepley of Tucson, AZ, died on June 9, 2019. Born in Gleasonton, PA on August 6, 1925, he was the son of the late Arthur and Laura (Probst) Knepley.

William (Bud) was of Catholic faith and served in the U.S. Navy Amphibious Forces in the South Pacific during World War II and in the U.S Naval Reserve for a period of years after World War II.

He was employed by Hughes Aircraft Company for 32 years in aerospace and missile systems both in California and Arizona retiring in 1987 as Configuration/Data Management Manager of Strike Systems Division in Tucson.

He graduated from Canoga Park, CA High School, attended Pierce Jr. College and UCLA Extension in California.

Bud was also a member of the American legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Renovo.

He is survived by his wife Jean (Tomko) Knepley and one sister, Sylvia Brown of Corning, NY. Preceding him in death were his son, William Paul Knepley; two sisters, Helen Stone of South Renovo and Marcella Flagg of Erie, PA; two brothers, Captain Arthur Knepley of Lock Haven and Robert Knepley of Renovo.
