Carole B. “Peach” (Heck) Kelley – Obituary
Carole B. “Peach” (Heck) Kelley, 77, of North Bend passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 23, 2019 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with ALS. She was the beloved wife of Mickey F. Kelley, Jr. and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Born January 18, 1942 in Renovo, she was the daughter of Clarence M. and Lenora M. (Shearer) Heck, Sr. On January 30, 1959 Peach married the love of her life, Mickey, and they shared over 60 years of marriage together. Peach worked alongside her husband Mickey at K&L Auto Sales, Inc., the family business, as a bookkeeper for 25 years. After retiring in the 1990’s she was able to spend lots of quality time at her beloved Summerson Mountain home and had more time for her family and friends.
Peach’s absolute joy in life was her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, James “Jamie” B. Kelley and wife, Janice C. of North Bend, and Michael R. Kelley and wife, Debra L. of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Brett R. Kelley and wife, Ashley N., Garrett M. Kelley, Brenna L. Kelley, and Lea M. Kelley; two great-granddaughters, Harper G. Kelley and Maci N. Kelley; one sister, Patsy R. Hagen of Avis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Peach was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence M. Heck, Jr.; and eight sisters, Eleanor M. Heck, Dorothy I. Biernesser, Erma M. Leathers, Betty J. Jones, Janet A. Mann, Margaret A. Getz, Maxine S. Brooks, and Barbara J. Curran.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., in Renovo with Martha Sykes officiating. A visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hyner.
