Kenneth C. ‘Captain Ken’ Klinefelter

Kenneth C. ‘Captain Ken’ Klinefelter, 78, of South Renovo passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Bucktail Medical Center in South Renovo. He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Ivaloemae ‘Ivy’ Klinefelter, who he missed dearly since she passed on March 28, 2017.

Born January 10, 1941 in Renovo, Captain Ken was the son of George and Caroline (Quarella) Klinefelter. He graduated from the Valley Forge Christian College and went on to serve as an Evangelical Minister traveling all over the East Coast holding children’s crusades.

On October 4, 1968 Captain Ken married Ivaloemae and the couple shared over 48 years together. They both attended the Christian Community Church in South Renovo. Captain Ken loved music and played the guitar and piano.

He is survived by his son, Donald Kline and wife, Lisa of Hagerstown, MD; two daughters, Donna Martin and husband, Bobby of South Renovo, and Harmony Klinefelter of South Renovo; 14 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Captain Ken was preceded in death by one son, Henry Kline; one brother, George Klinefelter; and one sister, Norma Jean Mettler.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Christian Community Church, 364 Susquehanna Ave., in South Renovo. Officiating will be Pastor Rich Colvin. Friends and family will be received an hour prior to the service. Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, in Renovo is in charge of arrangements.
