Wildcats Topple Troy, 43-25
TROY – Central Mountain took a little road trip to the Northern Tier Thursday night and survived a valiant effort by the trojans to come home with a 43-25 dual meet win.
The match was not part of the original schedule and came about to fill a vacancy created by the postponed, and eventually cancelled regular season dual meet with Mifflin County which was made up with their meeting in the District 6 team dual semi-final round. Troy had an open date as well and both programs thought it best to use the opportunity to stay sharp in preparation for the individual district tournament coming up later this month.
Picking up falls for the Wildcats were: Dalton Bechdel (126), Lane Porter (145) and Jacob Edwards (285).
Derek Keen had a major decision for the ‘Cats while Cody Coleman (138), Caleb Porter (160) and Gage Sutliff (182) recorded decisions for CM.
Nikolas Miller (195) and Tanner Riggle received forfeits.
Central Mountain alum, Blaze Buckwalter is a teacher and assistant coach at Troy High School.
