Shik Doubles Up on Lady ‘Cats, 62-31
SUNBURY – It was anther tough outing for the Lady Wildcat basketball team as Shikellamy doubled up on CM, 62-31.
Shikellamy built a 27-13 halftime lead, then stretched that into a 46-21 advantage after three quarter of play. Down the stretch, the Lady Braves outscored CM 16-10 in the final period for the 62-31 win.
Turnovers were the main problem for the Lady Wildcats as they continue their fight to seek their first win of the season.
“Turnovers continue to plague us and we need to make improvements in that regard in the final stretch of the season,” CM head coach Baker summed up, “That will now be a main area of focus.”
Avery Baker led the Lady ‘Cats with 11 points followed by Mia Kopysciansky with 7 and Quinlynn McCann with 6. Alyssa Fisher with 4, Summer Flanagan, 2 and 1 point from Madyson Smith.
The loss takes CM to 0-16 on the season, 0-8 in the PHAC.
The Lady Wildcats will next see action when they host Selinsgrove on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019.
