Sybil Mae Wheeler – Obituary
Sybil Mae Wheeler, 18 Center St., Watsontown, PA, formerly of Renovo, PA died Nov. 4, 2018 at the Bucktail Medical Center. Born October 24, 1921 in Grove Twp., Cameron Co., PA she was the daughter of the late Warren H. & Thelma E. Davis Fisher. On July 2, 1941 she married William G. Wheeler, Jr. who died February 21, 1973.
Sybil had worked for the Forestry Dept. and owned the Kettle Creek Inn from 1966-1974. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Renovo, PA
She is survived by three daughters, Rita G. Sanford, Watsontown, PA; Melody J. (Charles J.) Dynes, Wernersville, PA and Billie Z. (Edward T. ) Schnars, McElhatten, PA. Five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Warrnetta Cain & Flores Rauch, one step-brother, Harry Mackey and one grandson, Troy Holtzapple.
A Memorial service honoring the life of Sybil Mae Wheeler will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, 1p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service at the First United Methodist Church, Renovo, PA with Rev. Doug Conway officiating. Interment at Crum Cemetery. Friends will be received in the church one hour prior to services.
