McCluskey, Brown Place Third in D6 Doubles

ALTOONA – The Central Mountain girls’ tennis squad competed at the District 6 AAA doubles championships on the campus of PSU-Altoona on Wednesday.

The team of Kendall McCluskey and Natalie Brown finished the season by placing third in the competition. McCluskey and Brown defeated Emma Skelley and Eve Hogan of Altoona in the quarter final round, 6-3, 7-5, then fell to the number one seed duo of, Payton Ruggery and Paige Jodon of Hollidaysburg in the semi finals, 6-3, 6-3.

Olivia Anastos and Kati Kwiatek also participated in the tournament falling to to Alycia Auerbeck and Samantha Betar of Hollidaysburg, 6-2, 6-2, in the first round.
