Keystone and Clinton Little League All-Stars Honored by County
LOCK HAVEN – The Clinton County Commissioners on Monday honored the record-setting Keystone Little League and Clinton Little League teams for their recently completed spectacular seasons.
Four teams were presented with “proclamations of excellence” lauding their outstanding seasons. They included the Keystone 10 team, Pennsylvania champs and Mid-Atlantic Runners-Up; the Keystone 11s, fifth in the state; the Keystone 12s, state champs and fourth at the Mid-Atlantic tournament; and the Clinton 9-11 softball team, district and sectional champs and state tourney participants.
Players and coaches were present at the county’s Piper Building meeting room, wearing their game shirts. At the conclusion of the recognition, county board chairman Pete Smeltz led the large assemblage of players, coaches and family members with a “we are…” cheer, followed by a “thank you” from the players present.
The proclamation lauded the players for how well they represented Clinton County in a “proud and respectful manner…exemplifying the best in our area youth.”
