Social in the Park
FLEMINGTON – It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon on May 25, 2014 at the Grove Community Park. Perfect conditions for celebrating the borough’s 150th anniversary as part of the Clinton County 175th anniversary.
On Sunday, Flemington took time to honor their military veterans and dedicate their Little League field to a hometown hall of fame Major League baseball player, Rube Bressler.
With full honor guard presenting tribute to our veterans, members of Boy Scout Troop 66 assisted by mayor, Gary Durkin and council president, Albert ‘Hap” Hill laid a wreath in remembrance of all who have severed at the park’s Veterans’ Monument.
There were plenty of tasty refreshments offered that included free cake, ice cream and bottled water donated by local businesses.
