Burton T. Wilson -Obituary

Burton T. Wilson, 82, of Lancaster, died unexpectedly late Thursday evening, June 28, 2018, at his home. He was the husband of Joanne C. (Conklin) Wilson.

Burt was a 1955 graduate of Renovo High School, Renovo, PA. He retired in 1998 with 43 years of service from Flexsteel, Lancaster. Burt enjoyed any time he could visiting his hometown of Renovo and Clinton County, just making that trip last weekend. What he loved most was time with his family. His family knew he was happy when they heard him whistling or singing around the house.

Born March 11, 1936, in Renovo, Clinton County, he was the son of the late Burton T. and Eatha L. (McGuire) Wilson. He was of the Lutheran faith. Burt was a member of the 8th Ward Club, Lancaster and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose-Lodge #100, Lock Haven, PA.

Also surviving in addition to his wife; Joanne are three children; Burton T. Wilson III, married to Kellie (Stahl) Wilson, of Lancaster, Eatha “Dede”, married to Andrew Homsher, of Conestoga, and Kevin Wilson, married to Terri (Emig), of Lancaster; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers; Thomas Wilson, married to Irene, of Mount Joy, and Lew Wilson, married to Patricia, of Millersville; as well extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA 17551 on Tuesday afternoon, July 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a viewing held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home-Millersville on Monday evening between 6:00 -8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday afternoon between 1:00 -2:00 p.m. Interment will be held in the Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances can be made in Burt’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
