Barbara H. Stewart – Obituary

RENOVO – Barbara H. Stewart, 85, a resident of the Bucktail Medical Center, South Renovo, PA died May 16, 2018 at the Medical Center. Born January 17, 1933 in Stamford, VT she was the daughter of the late Howard J. and Anna Hewitt Goodrich.

Barbara had worked for the Central Intermediate Unit 10 and the Keystone Central School District as a Teacher’s Assistant and bus driver for Susquehanna Transit for 25 years. And she was the payroll clerk for B.P.O.E # 334, Renovo, PA for many years. Barbara enjoyed knitting, dancing and spending time with her children and grandchildren and going to camp.

Survivors include four daughters  Juli (John) DeLaney, Brookville, PA; Kathy (Len) Hinton, Montoursville, PA; Mary (Terry) DeLaney,  and Patricia (Frank) Campbell both of Renovo, PA,  three sons:  John (Joyce) Stewart, Jr., Hyner, PA; Floyd (Chris) Stewart, Renovo, PA and Rob (Michelle) Stewart, W. Renovo, PA,      24 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren (and 2 expected great grandchildren) and  three great-great grandchildren

She was Preceded in death by one son, Gary Stewart, her longtime companion of thirty years, Thomas A. Bitting who died April 1, 2000,  two brothers, Clifford and Allan Goodrich and  one sister, Sylvia Lyman-Clarke.

A Memorial Service honoring the life of Barbara H. Stewart will be held Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church, 7th St., Renovo, PA with Rev. Doug Conway and Martha Sykes officiating.

Friends will be received in the church from 10 A.M until time of service Monday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bucktail Medical Center, 1001 Pine St., South Renovo, PA  17764

Interment will be at the convenience of the family in North Bend Cemetery.
