Western Clinton County Veterans Honor the Fallen with Memorial Day Weekend Traditions

WESTERN CLINTON COUNTY-Area of veterans and veterans groups from Western Clinton County visited cemeteries and memorials throughout the Renovo area Sunday morning as they remembered veterans that are no longer alive. The veterans groups perform the services every Sunday of Memorial Day weekend as a solemn and poignant act of remembrance.

Some family members plan their trips to the cemeteries to be there as the services take place .

In addition to a prayer and flowers placed at a veterans grave site the group also displays flags this year from the cocktail detachment of Marine Corps. Following a prayer and a playing of taps, a gun salute is performed as the fellow veterans salute their fallen soldier.
