Lady Buck Seniors Celebrate with 15-0 Win over Phoenix

FARWELL – First year team Sugar Valley Rural Charter School came to see the Lady Bucks on Senior Day as Anna Cowfer , Maria D’Onofrio, Makenzi Brennan and Danielle Rider were recongized for their years on the Lady Bucks softball team.

Anna Cowfer and D’Onofrio each walked as Myka Poorman recorded her first career homerun over left center field fences as the Lady Bucks scored 8 runs in the first inning. Poorman would strikeout the side in the first inning.

Bucktail would score five more runs in the second and two in the third to end the game on the fifteen run rule. Poorman and Emma Intallura would go 2-for-2 as Poorman would rack up 5 RBI.

For the Sugar Valley team, this is their first year of high school softball program. The Phoenix showed no quit on their part in the game. After the first inning these girls were making contact with the ball. SV had three hits and were rock solid as Fox hit a double to leftfield. Elling had a hit to right field and Lightcap followed her with a single to right field as well.

The lady Bucks (8-9) will travel to Galeton on Tuesday starting at 4:30 p.m.
