LHU Commencement May 9-10

lhu-logoLOCK HAVEN – Graduate commencement will take place Friday, May 9 at Price Auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m., while undergraduate commencement will take place Saturday, May 10 at the Hubert Jack Stadium beginning at 10 a.m. Micah Smith, a 2003 alumnus, will be the speaker for both ceremonies.

Mr. Smith was born in Mill Hall, PA and grew up in Central America and Hawaii. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lock Haven University, majoring in political science. Micah is the Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Degrees are officially granted to the applicants after the University certifies completion of all academic requirements. Lock Haven University will be graduating 122 master degree candidates and 708 bachelor degree candidates over the weekend. “We are very proud of our students here at Lock Haven University, and congratulate them on their achievements. We know they will be successful in their future endeavors,” said Dr. Fiorentino, President of Lock Haven University.

Its 14 universities offer more than 250 degree and certificate programs in more than 120 areas of study. Nearly 405,000 system alumni live and work in Pennsylvania.
