CM Pounds Midd-West 75-43

cm-basketballMIDDLEBURG – The Wildcat (3-0, 2-0) boys’ basketball team travelled to Midd-West Friday night to play their first Heartland Conference road game of the season. The trip proved to be worth the effort as they brought home a 75-43 win.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 23-12 start in the fist quarter then increased the defensive pressure on the Mustangs out scoring the hosts 19-4 in the second quarter to hold a commanding 42-16 at the break.

CM kept up the pace in the third quarter outscoring Midd-West 19-13 then allowed the Mustangs to keep pace in the final period at 14-all to end the scoring at 75-43.

Leading the way for Central Mountain was Brody Baker with 18 points and Justin Neff with 17 more. Wyatt Bumbarger scored 23 points while Kyle Everhart netted 10 points for the cause. Matt Storeman had 8 with Colin Jones hitting for 6 points. Trevor Hanna and Yash Adroja each scored 2 points for the ‘Cats.

Nest up for the Wildcats will continue their road show with a trip to District 6 foe, Hollidaysburg on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016.
