Bucks Draw St. John Neumann in D-4 Playoffs
WILLIAMSPORT — District 4 has announced first-round games for the Class A playoffs and the Bucktail boys got a difficult draw.
The Bucks, an eight seed, begin the postseason Thursday, a 7 p.m. contest at undefeated and top-seeded (21-0) St. John Neumann of Williamsport. Bucktail qualified for the playoffs with its 56-33 Friday night win over Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech. The victory put the Bucks at 11-11 on the year.
Bucktail has played St. John Neumann twice this season, losing on the road 88-58 on Jan. 8 and at Farwell on Feb. 3 by a score of 90-58.
In the other brackets No. 2 seed Sullivan County will host No. 7 seed North East Bradford, No. 3 seed, Cowenesque Valley will host No. 6 seed North Penn Mansfield, No. 4 seed, Millville will host No. 7 seed, Lourdes Regional.
The winner of the Bucktail vs St. John Neumann game would meet the winner of the Millville vs Lourdes Regional winner in the next round at a set and date to be determined.
