Michael ‘Catnip’ Catlin – Obituary
RENOVO – Michael Todd “Catnip” Catlin, 51, of 225 4th St., Renovo, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016.
He was born on February 7, 1965, the son of the late Charles Rooney and Dorothy Mae Eschenbach Winkelman.
Catnip attended Bucktail Middle School and High School.
In 1998 in South Renovo, he married the former Ruth A. Stidfole, who survives in Renovo.
Catnip was a member of the American Legion and Sons of Italy of Renovo.
He enjoyed playing Eucher online, throwing horseshoes and shooting darts.
In addition to his wife, Catnip is survived by two sons, Martin Dean (Katrina Stevens) Catlin and Skylar T. Catlin, both of Renovo; seven siblings, Dorothy (Ernest) Getz of Farwell, Deb McDonald and Jean Winkelman, both of Renovo, Joyce (Rob) O’Brien of Westport, Kenneth C. (Jody) Winkelman of Mill Hall, Linda Moyer of North Carolina and Jenn (Terry) Bilby of Renovo; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Otto E. and Shawn M. Winkelman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 127 7th St., Renovo, Pa 17764 with Pastor Doug Conway officiating.
Friends and family will be received at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of the service.
A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
A private burial will take place at North Bend Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Rd., Lock Haven, Pa 17745.
