Bucks Hope Senior Night Earns Playoff Bid

by Jim Morgan

bucks-basketballFARWELL – Friday night is going to be a “Big Night” at Bucktail High School gymnasium. There is a lot of excitement gearing up for this evening. First the Bucks will recognize the six seniors on the team before the varsity game begins. Then at halftime Bucktail alumni and the Keystone Central School District are going to rename the gym in honor of the late coach Dale Florey. Then the final thing is that the Bucks hope to be celebrating on going into the District 4 playoffs.

That is correct about the Bucks (10-11). Right now, Friday night’s game actually starts the playoffs for the Bucks as they must win in order to get into the play-offs. Columbia-Montour VT (4-15) will be the opponent and the last time these two teams met was back in early January at CMVT as the Rams beat the Bucks. Now with it being Senior Night that surely will have the Bucks pumped up as they will play their last game on the hardwood at Bucktail, the jayvee game starting at 6 p.m.

The varsity game and the halftime dedication ceremony will be aired live on therecord-online.
