Albert Charles “Butch” Lachat, 65, of Langhorne passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 after a lengthy illness surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Blohm) Hunt-Lachat and his children, Alan Hunt (Tara), Christopher Hunt, and Sarah Wehler (Craig). He was the grandfather of Victoria, Maggie, Dillon, and Julie; the brother of Thomas Lachat (Mary Anne) and Linda Shady (Randy).

Al was born in Lock Haven, Pa., to Albert “Tuters” and Betty (Simcox) Lachat. He was a graduate of Lock Haven University, Penn State University, 
a math teacher in the Neshaminy School District for 36 years and a track official with P.I.A.A.

Relatives and friends are invited to Al’s Life Celebration 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Dunn/Givnish Funeral Home of Langhorne 378 S Bellevue Ave, Langhorne PA 19047. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday morning at St. Andrew’s Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown PA 18940. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Swissdale United Methodist Church, 974 E. Croak Hollow Road, Lock Haven PA 17745 in his name would be appreciated.
