penndot-alertLOCK HAVEN – Bridge work on the Route 220 project has been completed for 2015, according to word today from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). Crews will return in 2016 to finish work on bridges along Mill Hall Road (Route 2015).

PennDOT said work could restart as early as March but the exact start date will be dependent on weather. Once activity begins, work will include expansion dam repair/replacement, deck replacement, and paving. Drivers will encounter lane shifts in the area of the bridges that span Route 220 on Mill Hall Road. PennDOT will issue an update on this work prior to its start.

Paving between Route 150 and the bridges spanning the railroad is complete.

Work on the mainline of Route 220 wrapped up this fall. Begun in 2014, the project addressed improvements to 7.5 miles of roadway to enhance the ride quality of the roadway surface and extend the useful life of the pavement.

HRI, Inc. of State College has been the contractor on this $17.3 million project.
