Betty R. Eichenlaub – Obituary

She was born in Aaronsburg, Pa on March 26, 1931, the daughter of the late Harold and Bessie Bower Hazel.
Betty was a 1949 graduate of Penns Valley High School.
On January 1, 1950, she married Charles C. Eichenlaub, Jr. They were married for sixty-two years before he passed away on February 9, 2012.
Betty was employed at Woolrich Woolen Mills and Sylvania Electric prior to working in the cafeteria at Dickey Elementary School, Lock Haven, for twenty years until her retirement in 1991.
She was a member of the East Main Street United Methodist Church.
Betty enjoyed baking, word search puzzles and the time she spent at their camp in Woodward. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by a son, Craig C. Eichenlaub of Virginia; two daughters, Sheila (Thomas) Bauman of Lock Haven and Sherri (Timothy) Beeckler of Virginia; a sister, Aileen (Harold) Dorman of Mill Hall; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessica) Bauman, Brittany (Doug Saville) Bauman, Matthew and Mychal Eichenlaub and Charleigh Beeckler; and one great-grandson, Jackson Bauman.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Auman and Marie Meyer; and a brother, William Hazel.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745 with Rev. Bruce Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Dunnstown Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the East Main Street United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
