Francis Serafini – Obituary
He was born December 8, 1915 in Renovo, Pa. a son of the late Dominic and Josephine Serafini. He enlisted in the Army in 1940, fought in World War II in the South Pacific and later in Vietnam. He retired in 1961 as a Lieutenant Colonel at Fort Dix, NJ.
He moved his family out to Kwajalein, Marshall Islands where he worked for the Global Associates company until 1978 and then in Saudi Arabia until 1981 when he retired to enjoy life in Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Serafini, as well as several brothers and sisters in the Renovo, PA area
He is survived by his sons, Charles Serafini, Frank Serafini, and daughter Beatrice Serafini, as well as grandchildren Noria Serafini, Francis Serafini, Isaac, and great-grandchildren Anna Serafini and Rachel Bergman.
A Mass will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4201 DeZavala Road, San Antonio, TX 78249 at 930am December 8, 2015 followed by a burial service with military honors at 1130am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
