Bald Eagles 2-0 on the New Season

lhu-hoopsSHIPPENSBURG – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (2-0) moved to 2-0 on the season with an 88-62 victory over Penn State Lehigh Valley (0-2) at Shippensburg University’s Wolf’s Bus Line Classic Tournament.

Three different Bald Eagles pushed their way into double-digit scoring, including Shawn Church (Ridley, Pa./Ridley), who had 12 points.

Al Blount (Allentown, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) and Ra’eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) each netted 10 points.

Craig Slade (Philadelphia/Constitution) grabbed seven rebounds and chipped in with nine points.

For the game, LHU shot 51 percent from the field and 81 percent from the charity stripe.

Central Mountain grad, Cole Renniger had 5 points and 23 min. on the hardwood for LHU.

In all, 12 different players scored for Lock Haven.

Yesterday, LHU opened the season with a 75-71 win over Nyack College.

Lock Haven returns to action on Wednesday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. at West Chester to open Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action.
