Morgan has College Debut in 82-64 Win over Allegheny

LATROBE – Maria Morgan, ALL-State Bucktail standout had her college debut for the Lady Bearcats of St. Vincent College Friday night against Allegheny College.

Morgan was the first player off the bench for St. Vincent and scored 4 points in the contest. Morgan was 1-3 from the field, two of those shots attempted from outside the arc.

From the free-throw line, Morgan was 2-2, those points coming late in the fourth quarter that sparked a 12-0 run on the visiting Gators that gave the hosts a 65-53 lead.

The Lady Bearcats dominated in that final period putting up 33 points in all to secure a 82-64 win to open the 2015-16 season.

Next up for St. Vincent is a trip to the University of Rochester tournament on Nov. 20-21 where the Lady Bearcats will face Ohio Norther University in the first round.
