OT for the first time in a long time:
When LHU and Bloomsburg went to overtime last Saturday (Nov. 7, Week 10), it marked Lock Haven’s first OT game since the 2007 season finale, that LHU won at Clarion.
Winning ways:
LHU entered week 10 having won two of its previous three games. The Bald Eagles defeated Cheyney on Homecoming in Week 7 and followed that up with a last-second win at Millersville in Week 8. The Bald Eagles fell to Kutztown in a hard fought battle in Week 9. LHU was looking for its third straight win, something the Bald Eagles haven’t done since starting the 1981 season at 4-0.
Walton does it again:
Last week at Bloomsburg Walton threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns. He completed 24 of 43 passes. Entering the game, Walton needed just one TD pass to break the all-time single-season record for touchdown passes. He now has 21 on the season. It marked Walton’s 14th career game with 200-plus passing yards and his third career game over 300. His 312 passing yards pushed him over 2,000 for the second the consecutive season and surpass his career-mark of 2,164 set last season. Walton’s 2,219 yards are the fourth-most in school history for a single season. Walton threw TD-passes to three different players including Shawn Seif, Del’Vaughn Dennis and Dan Krupko.
Harris goes over 200 twice:
In Week 8 (Saturday, Oct. 24) junior running back Malyk Harris made his first career start and rushed for 200 yards on 28 carries. Two of his 28 carries went for TDs. The very next week (Week 9, October 31) vs. Kutztown, Harris rushed for 224 yards on 24 carries.
