Lady Bucks Make Playoff Bid

bucks-tennisFARWELL – The Bucktail Lady Bucks (6-7) tennis is coming down the home stretch as they have six matches left. The final five matches are home and the girls can feel comfortable on making a run for the play-offs.
The Lady Bucks will have a tough challenge as they will be facing some of the stronger teams here. This past Tuesday they traveled to South Williamsport and faced a total returning squad from last year. The Lady Bucks gave it their all as they lost 5-0 to the Lady Mounties.
This past Monday the Lady Bucks not only played Galeton but also waited during a rain delay match to start as the Lady Bucks won 5-2. The match was played here at Bucktail and the girls played well under the lights.

Last Friday, the Lady Bucks posted another win over Liberty as they won 7-0. Then last Thursday’s match against Montgomery and it was a different match than the first time as the Lady Bucks lost 3-2. The first time Montgomery won 5-0 and for the Lady Bucks to play as strong as they did meant a lot to coaches Dan and Alison Heiser.

This Thursday Bucktail travels to St. John Neumann at 4 p.m. On Saturday the Lady Bucks will start their final home games as they host Cowanesque Valley for an 11:00 a.m. start. On Tuesday, Bloomsburg comes to town for a 4 o’clock match.
