The posters are out …

Rumor has it posters for the upcoming Renovo Jam, Budstock are up in Lock Haven, Williamsport and in Howard. Posters are also at area music stores. Visitors and participants are expected from as far away as Florida. The Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park committee is sponsoring the music fest event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bud & The Dynamics. Four of the original band members, Bud Hallberg, Ron Jones, Wayne Stoltz and Gary Eberhard continue to keep the band going. The fifth original member, Danny McGowan is with the band in memory, he passed away a few years ago.

The Heritage Park Budstock committee wants your memories, your pictures and the anecdotes from years past. The committee is looking for fond and or funny memories of the good times with Bud & The Dynamics since their origin in 1965. The Heritage Park Group is organizing a birthday/anniversary celebration for them. It will be free and everyone is invited. The committee is preparing for a big Budstock Renovo Jam at Heritage Park on August 29. If the Dynamics played at your wedding, your anniversary, your high school prom private party and if you have pictures of them during Flaming Foliage festivals from the past, would you be willing to share them – the committee can copy them and return them – for the Budstock celebration. The committee would also like to hear anecdotes involving the band. If you can help the committee in any way, please call me at 570-923-2927 or email me at mastriania@comcast.net

A free rendition of The Green Grass of Home …

When Bud & The Dynamics appear at Renovo gigs, one of their most requested songs is The Green, Green Grass of Home. The band is looking for a special fan to give them a copy of their CD with the song on it. The special fan was at the St. Joseph’s Festival a couple of weeks ago. Their most recent request for Green, Green Grass of Home was from a man requested the song for his wife, whose favorite song by the band is Green, Green Grass of Home. She was so moved by the song when the band did it at the festival that it brought tears to her eyes. The band now wants to thank that lady with a copy of their CD. The fan is welcome to contact either band leader Bud Hallberg at 570-923-1915 or Gary Eberhard at 570-660-4176. The CD can be picked up at The Record.

Rumor has it …
