LOCK HAVEN – The Clinton County Historical Society’s old fashioned barn dance returns this year on Friday, September 18th from 7 to 11 pm. Same place: Christina & Jeff Frank’s wonderfully rustic 1900 Red Barn at 652 Island Road in Lock Haven.

Last year’s barn dance was a night to remember – great fun, music, socializing, food, laughter and many styles of country dance were enjoyed by all. Again this year for the price of admission, dance-goers will delight in the live music of the McNett Country Band and the tastes of homemade harvest soups, bread, and beverages (cider, coffee, bottled water, beer & wine).

The barn dance is for all levels of dancing ability. The evening offers the opportunity for the seasoned square and line dancer as well as the beginner to be a part of a fun-filled night of country dancing.

Tickets are on sale now. To purchase your tickets, stop by the Heisey Museum at 362 East Water Street, Lock Haven, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am until 3pm, OR call the Museum at 570-748-7254 and leave a message, OR contact a CCHS Board Member, OR visit the Historical Society’s website at: www.clintoncountyhistory.com and follow the barn dance link. Credit Cards accepted. The pre-sale ticket price is $20.00; tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $25.00.

Mark your calendar, call some friends, pull out your jeans, find your hat, dust off your boots, and join the members of the Clinton County Historical Society at the 1900 Red Barn on September 18.

The Country Dance is a major fundraising event for the Clinton County Historical Society and the public’s support of the Society’s events and programs is always appreciated.
