MILL HALL-The Central Mountain volleyball team pulled off a big win Tuesday night, taking down defending District 2 AAA champion Berwick in a hard-fought five-set battle.

The Lady Wildcats came out strong, taking the opening two sets 25-19 and 25-21. Berwick responded with narrow wins in sets three and four, 25-23 and 25-22, to force a decisive fifth. Central Mountain regrouped and closed out the match with a 15-11 victory in the final set to seal the 3-2 win.

With the victory, Central Mountain continues to prove it can battle with some of the top programs in the state.
