2015 Relay for Life offers Community Hope (Video Report)
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – It has never been a surprise to Clinton County residents just how warm, considerate and giving our residents are. The 2015 edition of the Clinton County Relay for Life is no exception. With only weeks remaining for the Relay, a scheduling conflict forced organizers to re-group and find a new location. Fortunately, the Woodward Township supervisors were extremely generous and allow the use of River View Park once more for the event.
Participation and financial support as well as donations from local businesses have been overwhelming this year. The organization had a goal of $84,000 for this year and noted that over $79,000 had already been raised before the first lap ever got started. 2015 Should shatter the record for giving. All funds raised go to fight cancer and support cancer patients and their families while they battle the cruel, killer disease. Much of the funding raised remains in the local community to provide services and support for local residents.
The relay continues through Saturday, May 16 until 4 p.m.
