Obituary – Nancy Ruth Dingman

Nancy Ruth Dingman, 77 of Kettle Creek, PA passed away on May 15 at home.

Nancy was born in Renovo to Georgianna and Howard Summerson on December 8, 1947
She is survived by her husband, William Dingman Junior, of Kettle Creek; a daughter, Georgia Hughes of Avis; a son, William (Gretchen) Dingman, III of Pitman; brother-in-law, William Justice; four grandchildren, Pennie Bodley, Martha Dingman, Nathaniel (Lorin) Dingman, and Daisy (Cameron) Downey; and seven great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, a sister Joyceann Justice and son-in-law, Otto Hughes.

Nancy was community minded. She was a founding member of the Kettle Creek Ambulance Association and their longest serving President. She was an EMT for most of her career and served as a Clinton and Potter County Emergency Services Coordinator for many years. She was in the first class of volunteer firefighters that included women in Pennsylvania. Most of her career was as a self-employed, excavation contractor. She was also a school bus driver, rural postal carrier and Avon representative.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kettle Creek Hose Comp on June 7 starting at 3pm. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in her name to Kettle Creek Hose Company # 1, PO Box 288, Cross Fork Pa 17729.
