Howard H. Boone – Obituary
Born in Tylersville on May 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Floyd Edward and Mary Matilda Tressler Boone.
Pete graduated from Sugar Valley High School in 1954.
He was Veteran, having served six months in active duty and eight years in the United States Army Reserves.
On March 21, 1959 in Tylersville Pete married the love of his life, the former Joan Barner to whom he was married to for 56 years.
By trade he was a carpenter and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters for 55 years.
Pete attended the St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tylersville.
He was a member of the Tylersville Water Association.
Pete enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, and tinkering with tractors.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Lenny Boone of Tylersville; a daughter, Carla Renée Boone of Boalsburg; two sisters: Betty (Lester) Kleckner of Lock Haven and Faye (Art) Grieb of Loganton; a brother-in-law, Bob Grieb of Tylersville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Ken, and Harry Boone and three sisters: Ruth Boone, Mary Grieb, and Nora Overdorf.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
