Central Mountain’s Addison Lindsay Advances to State Finals After Semifinal Victory
HERSHEY – Central Mountain Sophomore Addison Lindsay continued her impressive run at the PIAA Class AAA Girls’ Tennis Championships on Saturday, advancing to the finals with a dominant 6-3, 6-1 semifinal victory over Alexandra Waring of Parkland.
Lindsay’s journey to the finals began on Friday at the Hershey Racquet Club, where she made her state tournament debut in commanding fashion. She opened with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Taryn Zerby of Mechanicsburg, followed by a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Grace Piro of Central Bucks South in the quarterfinals. Her skill and poise on the court have shone through, showcasing the talent that brought her to compete among Pennsylvania’s best high school players.
With her sights now set on the championship, Lindsay will face Anya Rosenbach of New Oxford in the final, scheduled for 3:30 PM. Last year Addison Lindsay beat Rosenbach in the quarter finals of states. As she heads into this highly anticipated match, the young Wildcat will aim to finish her sophomore season with a title, capping off an impressive state tournament debut.
