Open Forums for LHU Football Head Coaching Position Begin
LOCK HAVEN – The interview process is underway for the four candidates who have been announced as Lock Haven University continues its search for a new head football coach.
First up on Tuesday was Ted Egger, Adams State, an assistant coach at the Colorado school and an LHU grad. A large turnout of current team members and the university community attended the session at the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center.
The interview process will continue through the remainder of the week:
Wednesday, April 8, 10-10:45 a.m. (Ballroom, Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center) |
Wayne Bradford, Edinboro; he is defensive coordinator of the Fighting Scots.
Thursday, April 9, 10-10:45 a.m. (Ballroom, Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center) |
David Taynor, Urbana University of Ohio; he is the head coach. (His assistants include Central Mountain and Lock Haven University graduate Stephen Pribble, program offensive coordinator).
Friday, April 10, 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m. (Greenburg Auditorium, Willis Health Professions Building) |
Charley Molnar, Idaho; he is a 1984 Lock Haven University graduate, was head coach at Division I Massachusetts in 2012 and 2013 and last year was wide receivers coach of the Vandals.
The forums are open to LHU faculty, staff, and students, as well as the public.
University sports information director Doug Spatafore said if the process stays on schedule the school’s goal is to offer its choice by the end of this week with an announcement of the new coach to be made next week.
