Central Mountain Volleyball Sweeps Berwick

BERWICK-The Central Mountain girls volleyball team earned an impressive road victory Thursday night, defeating Berwick in straight sets. Despite missing a key player, the Wildcats persevered, showing resilience against a tough Berwick squad. Head coach Chipp McCann praised his team’s determination, stating, “Volleyball is a sport of continuity, of chemistry and familiarity. When you’re missing any piece of what is the norm, it’s extremely tough to overcome. I am proud of the girls for persevering.”

Central Mountain claimed the win with scores of 25-23, 25-22, and 25-17. McCann acknowledged Berwick’s quality as an opponent, adding, “We didn’t play as well as we could have tonight, but the girls battled through, and we came away with the win.”

The Wildcats will return to action on Monday for their first home match of the season against defending District 6 AAA champions BEA. Fans are encouraged to pack the CMHS gymnasium to cheer on the team.
