East Keating, Noyes Township Residents to Meet and Discuss Possible Merger

EAST KEATING TOWNSHIP – At a meeting with date and time to be announced, residents of East Keating and Noyes Townships will gather soon to discuss the merger between the two townships.

“When we have a date and time set up for the meeting, DCED will be there, hopefully the township solicitor, township supervisors, and our PennDOT representative to answer questions related to the merger of townships,” Township Secretary/Treasurer Tracy Shady told The Record.

“We will be explaining what the merger is, what will be gained and lost, a discussion of changes to taxes, and anything else needed to know to vote on the merger in November.”

The question regarding the merger of East Keating into Noyes Township will appear on the November ballot for all residents of Noyes and East Keating Townships.
