Lock Haven Man Sentenced For Drug Distribution and Possession

Justin Eugene Dauberman, 43, of Lock Haven was sentenced Tuesday morning by President Judge Craig P. Miller on a pair of drug cases stemming from late 2022 and early 2023.

Dauberman appeared Tuesday morning and asked to withdraw his previously entered guilty pleas in the cases. Judge Miller denied the request, advising Dauberman that he was too late in the process to change his mind now, when he had previously pled guilty and admitted his guilt to the three offenses he faced for sentencing. A short time later in the sentencing hearing, Dauberman asked the Court to delay sentencing, citing a leg injury that he claimed needed surgery to address.  That request was also denied.

Ultimately, Judge Miller imposed a 10 year maximum sentence in a state correctional facility, with parole eligibility after 34 months.

Dauberman had previously entered guilty pleas to two counts of Delivery of Bath Salts, both ungraded felonies, and one count of possession of a controlled substance, an ungraded misdemeanor. Police had actually found him to be in possession of several schedule I , II, and III controlled substances at the time of his arrest.  District Attorney Dave Strouse argued on behalf of the Commonwealth that Dauberman had an extensive criminal history and a well-documented history of use and distribution of various drugs. Despite the fact that Dauberman was not engaged in the sale of large volumes of controlled substances, Strouse pointed out that Dauberman has been committing crimes, regularly, for the better part of 25 years.
