LHU Softball’s Delaney Good earns NFCA Atlantic All-Region honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Delaney Good (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) of the Lock Haven softball team earned 2024 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Atlantic Region honors, the organization announced on Thursday afternoon (May 9).
Good was named to the All-Atlantic Region First Team as an outfielder for the second straight year.
The senior was also named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division First Team on April 30, earning her third straight All-PSAC honor.
Good, who broke the Bald Eagles’ all-time career batting average record, finished her career with a .416 (187-for-450) batting average, breaking a 21-year-old program record. Good also ranks fourth all-time in stolen bases, fifth in runs scored (118) and 10th in hits.
As a senior, Good hit a remarkable .427 with 64 hits, 37 runs, 11 RBIS, eight doubles, one triple and one home run.
The Mifflinburg native ranked seventh in the PSAC in batting average and eighth in hits. She also ranked tied for fifth in the PSAC with 22 stolen bases.
Good notched a hit in every game but five, while holding an impressive hitting streak of 19 games during the season. She also recorded 19 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-4 effort against Millersville.
