WOODWARD TOWNSHIP, PA – Hold onto your hats Clinton County, the Delaware Valley Outboard Racing Association is coming back to Lock Haven for boat races on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12. The Lock Haven Regatta Foundation will have their food trailer set up for the weekend selling

On the subject of future events, Woodward Township supervisors received correspondence requests for the use of Riverview Park for the Out of the Darkness Walk on September 15, and the KCSD Meal Distribution from June 13 – July 3, Thursdays only, from 12 PM to 1 PM.

Use of the boat launch for the boat races and Riverview Park for the events were approved.

The Recreation Committee reported that the Easter Egg Hunt for children will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, March 24 at Riverview Park. “I’m just asking that if anyone wants to help fill eggs please come by Dunnstown Fire Company at 6 PM on Wednesday, March 20,” Supervisor Kyle Coleman requested.

“We were awarded the Clinton County Community Foundation Grant for $5,000 and applied for the County Tourism Grant to put toward bathroom renovations at the boat launch,” Coleman reminded the supervisors, “and some power poles were added at the boat launch for Riverfest so we can get electrical off the ground and to avoid tripping breakers with all of the power being called for.” “Bathrooms will also be open at the parks on Thursday morning for the season,” Coleman said.

The township road report made notice that the road tour will be taking place on March 27 at 3 PM to survey any winter damage made to the roads within the township. Coleman also mentioned that the state will be coming through to tar and chip route 150 from Constitution Bridge to Avis, and Coudersport Pike during the summer months.

Township officials tabled discussion of a possible project to widen Riverview Avenue until after the road tour. “We will go over the possible project with property owners next week on the road tour, then discuss it at the next meeting,” Coleman said. Property owners who live along Riverview Avenue were present at the meeting for the discussion, but nothing was discussed until the road tour takes place next Wednesday.

Lastly, in fire company news, Dunnstown reports that the new fire truck for the fleet will be delivered by the end of the month.
