LHU Football caps National Signing Day; announces 2024 class

LOCK HAVEN – Today (Feb. 7), head coach Dan Mulrooney and the Lock Haven football team announced a talented and impact-ready 42 person signing class as part of 2024 National Signing Day.

“Two years for me and my family at Lock Haven has flown by,” Mulrooney said. “We have accomplished a lot in a short amount of time. Our best football season in 42 years was just three months ago. We all just witnessed the best statistical turnaround in the country. Lock Haven football proved that we can compete with everyone. However, the most exciting part is right now. I believe the most interesting part of life is what’s next and today begins that direction.”

The class features 35 incoming freshmen and seven transfers. The seven transfers consist of six graduate students and one junior. Each of the new Bald Eagles have signed a National Letter of Intent, have been accepted and/or enrolled at Lock Haven.

“This class of Bald Eagles was recruited with one goal,” Mulrooney added. “We wanted the best players from the best programs to choose Lock Haven. They chose to be here because they believed in our vision and our conviction to compete for championships. I strongly believe you win with people. We have great people here at our university who love and support us.  People who have been waiting for the day that they can have pride in their football program. Congratulations to all of our newest Bald Eagles.”

The Bald Eagles capped the day with a special signing day event in the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center with a live unveiling of the 2024 class on Wednesday (Feb. 7). To watch the full event, click here.
