CM Boys’ Swimming Downs Altoona

ALTOONA-The Central Mountain boys swim team dominated Altoona Wednesday night 94-61 and improved their record to 7-2.  Coach Scott Bair said, “The boys looked impressive winning 9 of the 11 races.”

Individual winners for the Wildcats were Jonathan Hughes in the 200 Free & 100 Breaststroke, Rhys Swift in the 200 IM & 100 Fly, Raiden Newcomer in the 100 Free, and Neil Kaluzny in the 100 Free.  All 3 of the relays were won by the Wildcats.  The 200 Medley Relay team of Neil Kaluzny, Jonathan Hughes, Cory Matejovich, and Raiden Newcomer took home the victory for the Wildcats in 1:52.66.

In the 200 Free Relay, Hughes, Kaluzny, Bryce Warren, and Newcomer finished first in 1:43.90.  The final relay of the night was the 400 Free Relay which was won by Matejovich, Owen Wunder, Warren, & Swift in 4:13.31.

The Wildcats are home at LHU”s Zimmerli Natatorium against Jersey Shore on Saturday for Senior Night.  The meet starts at 2:00.
