Phoenix Fall to Bellefonte

LOGANTON- The Sugar Valley Rural Charter School wrestling squad saw their season record fall to 8-11 on the season, as they were handed a 62-6 loss by Bellefonte on Thursday evening at the Phoenix gym.
The Phoenix were only able to get a win by senior Levi Galentine at 285, as he recorded a fall over the Raiders Ian Valmont. The win by Galentine upped his season record to 14-8 on the season. The Phoenix were forced to forfeit five bouts in the dual meet and there was no bout at 114 pounds..
In the evening’s big matchup at 145 pounds, Raider standout Noah Weaver (24-7) handed a technical fall loss to Phoenix standout Cameron Quick by a 16-1 score. The Phoenix senior saw his record fall to an impressive 20-4 on the season.
The Phoenix will be back in action on Saturday, as they will be in the six team North Penn-Liberty Duals at North Penn-Liberty High School in Blossburg. The five teams joining the Phoenix are Coudersport, Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, Shamokin, Williamson and the host North Penn-Liberty. Action is scheduled to get underway at 9 am.
