Theft/Burglary/Receiving Stolen Property
RENOVO – The Renovo Police Department has issued an active search warrant as of December 29, 2023, for Barbara Parson (a.k.a Barbara Milligan), 49, of Mifflin County. Parson was charged with burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property after entering Yesterday’s Hotel and removing over $3,800 worth of household items belonging to an elderly tenant between October 8 and October 9, 2023. Parson is the second person charged in this case; on December 12, 2023, a warrant was obtained for Matthew Herbster for his involvement in this incident. Both individuals have additional arrest warrants in the Lewistown and Harrisburg areas. Drug Possession
LAMAR TOWNSHIP – A traffic stop was conducted by PSP Lamar on December 24, 2023, at 2:41 a.m., on Auction Road/Harris Lane in Lamar Township. Sarah Barner, 39, of Charlottesville, VA, was driving a 2012 Toyota and was stopped for several traffic violations. Upon conclusion of the traffic stop, Sarah Barner, 39, of Charlottesville, VA, was taken into custody for DUI and drug possession. Criminal charges will be filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – PSP Lamar was dispatched to Walmart in Mill Hall on December 23, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. for a report of retail theft. A 27-year-old female was taken into custody for theft of miscellaneous items totaling $38.08. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Theft by Deception/Identity Theft
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – On November 25, 2023, at 7:49 p.m., it was reported to PSP Lamar that an unknown actor(s) attempted to cash stolen checks belonging to Gerard Banfill, 58, of Mill Hall, in multiple states.
Criminal Mischief under $1,000
CRAWFORD TOWNSHIP – On November 24, 2023, PSP Lamar was contacted by a 72-year-old male of Pine Mountain Road at 12:08 a.m. According to police reports, PSP Lamar was contacted by the male victim to talk about rocks hitting his vehicle, a 2012 Hyundai.
Theft by Deception/Identity Theft
BEECH CREEK TOWNSHIP – On October 26, 2023, at 11:18 a.m., PSP Lamar was contacted by Jesse Glossner, 51, of Beech Creek, to report that he was a victim of identity theft and that someone was attempting to open up credit cards that had been canceled.
