Fire police play critical role for all of us

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Clinton County Fire Police show off new safety jackets, bought with a $2,800 grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation. The photo was taken the night of Lock Haven’s Christmas parade, when the Fire Police Team provided traffic safety for participants and attendees. “The jackets kept our crew warm and seen,” said Gary Mellott. The Fire Police, based out of Goodwill Hose Co. in Flemington, are integral to helping to ensure the safety of attendees, participants and motorists at various events in the county throughout the year, so having the proper safety gear and wear is essential.

The team shown, from left, include William Barner; Maureen Mahon; Paul Stitzer, Jr; Austin Houtz; Marlin “Butch” Russell; Conner Borner; Anthony Mahon; Dustin Houtz and Donald Myers Jr. Not shown is Mellott, who took the photo.
