Central Mountain Girls Out Swim Bloomsburg & Mount Carmel

MOUNT CARMEL-The Central Mountain girls swim team picked up two wins to open the dual meet season Tuesday evening. The girls edged out Bloomsburg 88-74 and dominated Mount Carmel 109-22. The 200 Medley and 200 Free Relay team of Bair, Hosley, Hosley, & Persun won both relays. Individual winners for the Wildcats were Ana Persun in the 200 Free & 100 Fly, Camryn Bair in the 50 Free & 100 Back, Abrianna Hosley in the 500 Free, and Gabriella Hosley in the 100 Breaststroke. Camryn Bair re-broke her Backstroke school record with a new time of 1:01.69. “Tonight’s win over Bloomsburg was a total team effort,” said Coach Bair. “Our underclassman stepped up tonight and picked up valuable points for the team. Kaylie McCloskey passed a girl from Bloom in the last 20 yards of the 200 Free to pick up an extra point for the team. Elizabeth Nestor swam 3 of the last 4 events and picked up important points for the team. I am beyond proud of how we performed tonight.” The Wildcats have two weeks off of competition.

Up Next: They will travel to Central Columbia on January 3rd and take on Central Columbia and Lewisburg.
