MIFFLINBURG- Central Mountain head coach Scott Baker has to be very pleased with his Lady Wildcats squad. CM fought their way out of a five-game road swing to start the 2023-24 season by going 4-1 following an impressive team effort over Mifflinburg on Wednesday night by the count of 55-33.
Taylor Doyle would spark CM’s offense with a 16-point night and Camdyn Weaver would add 10 points.
Central Mountain would explode following their 9-8 first quarter advantage behind Weaver’s 5 points, 4 more from Taylor Doyle and 4 points from Lena Walker. This would be part of a 20-6 Central Mountain run to build their lead to 29-14 at the half.
CM would close out the second half with a 13-10 third quarter and a 13-9 fourth quarter to set the final at 55-33.
Osborne led Mifflinburg with 10 points.
Central Mountain was finally set to return home on Thursday night and host Milton, but that game has since been rescheduled. Now the Lady Wildcats will instead have to wait until December 20 for their home opener when they host 3-0 Bloomsburg.
