Ava Doyle’s 19 points lifts Lady Wildcats past BEA 51-41

WINGATE- Central Mountain’s Lady Wildcats continued their hot start on the road Tuesday night at Bald Eagle Area. Ava Doyle’s 19-point effort helped ignite Central Mountain to a 51-41 victory to improve to 3-1 on the season.

BEA would hold a slim 8-5 lead after one quarter.

Scoring would pick up for both teams in the second quarter. The Lady Eagles would edge CM 16-15 in the second quarter. 

Trailing 24-20 at the break, Central Mountain would ignite their offense by using a big 14-9 third quarter to take the 34-33 lead on the hosts. 

The Wildcats would not be denied on this night. A 17-8 final frame would give Central Mountain a huge road victory.

Taylor Doyle added 9 points to go along with her sister’s 19-point effort. Thompson led the Lady Eagles with 21 points.

Central Mountain will wrap up their 5-game road swing to start the season on Wednesday when they travel to Mifflinburg before finally getting to open up their home court schedule on Thursday when they host Milton
