LHU’s Robinson earns second straight Women’s Basketball PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week
LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven women’s basketball forward Alana Robinson has been named this week’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women’s Basketball Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon (Dec. 11).
Robinson continues her tear on the defensive end and led the Bald Eagles to their sixth straight win of the season on Saturday, downing Roberts Wesleyan on the road, 55-47.
Robinson missed a double-double by just one point, finishing with 9 points and 10 rebounds, with nine rebounds on the defensive end. Robinson also blocked two shots, moving her season total to a conference-high 13, with a PSAC-leading 1.9 blocks per game.
The Bald Eagles, who are now 6-1 overall, have won six games in a row, which matches their winning streak from 2018-19. Lock Haven is now ranked ninth in the D2CSC Atlantic Regional Poll (Dec. 11) after opening at No. 10 last week.
Lock Haven, who is also 2-0 in the PSAC, sit in a tie for first place with West Chester.
Robinson also won the award twice in 2022-23.
